About Riverfront Park / Prospect District
The Central Platte Valley, or CPV, is a fairly large area bordered by I-25 to Wewatta and Auraria to Park Avenue/23rd Street.
Among several different areas, Central Platte Valley encompasses the more lovingly named “Riverfront Park”. Developed by the East-West Partners, Riverfront Park is the largest planned community in the area comprised of a variety of homes including lofts and condos, penthouses, townhomes, and brownstones. This neighborhood is also home to the rehabilitated Commons Park and newly designed Denver Skate Park, the largest outdoor public skate park in the United States. However, the area may be more widely known by its popular high-rise named the Glass House. Besides the Glass House, Riverfront Park has a wide array of newly constructed housing designed to feel like what it’s truly become… a neighborhood.
The smaller district located directly northeast of Riverfront Park, across 20th Street and situated below Coors Field is the area known as Prospect. There are several historic and functioning warehouses in this neighborhood, including some loft conversions such as WaterTower and Jack Kerouac Lofts, and Prospect Place Village. Across the railroad tracks on the northwest side of the neighborhood is a large park called City of Cuernavaca Park. Flour Mills Loft is perched overlooking the park, and is the last thing you see as you approach I-25 on your way out of downtown.
